Matri Cultural

Our culture, carried forward.

Durga Puja and Kali Puja, Poila Boishakh, Rabindra Jayanti, Bangla classes and cultural evenings through the year, in the heart of Greater Noida West.

About Matri Cultural

Our culture, carried to the next generation.

Matri-Peeth came into existence in 2019, when a few like-minded Bengali families from the residential societies of Greater Noida West shared one dream: a Kali Bari of their own.

Probasi Bengalis work hard to keep their culture alive, and this is where we do it: Durga Puja and Kali Puja, Poila Boishakh, Rabindra Jayanti, Netaji and Vivekananda birthdays, Bangla classes, a library of Bengali literature, and cultural evenings through the year.

Chairman, Matri-Peeth Greater Noida West Kali Bari

Probasi Bengalis always try hard to live their culture and nurture it. Matri-Peeth will be a centre for Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Lokkhi Pujo, Poila Boishakh, Rabindranath’s birthday, and the birthdays of Netaji Subhash and Swami Vivekananda.

It will be our endeavour to preserve this heritage and teach it to the next generation, so that they can carry it forward and keep our culture alive wherever they live.

Director, Matri Cultural

Our cultural calendar belongs to the people who fill it. The children who recite on Rabindra Jayanti, the mothers who run the bhog kitchen, the dhakis who walk in from Kolkata, the volunteers who stay back to fold the chairs: this is what Matri Cultural is.

If you sing, dance, paint, write or simply want your children to grow up knowing Bangla, there is a place for you here. Become a member, bring a friend, and help us make every festival a little bigger than the last.

Durgotsav 2025

With the blessings of Maa Durga, Matri-Peeth Greater Noida West Kali Bari celebrates its fifth Durga Puja. You and your family are invited to join us and make this six-day event a grand success.

Come and take part with an open heart: daily puja, pushpanjali, bhog prasad, sandhya aarti with dhunuchi naach and sindur khela, all in the purest Bengali tradition. The cultural nights bring singers and bands from Kolkata and Mumbai, and the mela keeps the children busy while you eat your way through the food stalls.
