Dear Friends,

The dream of having a Goddess Maa Kali Temple in Greater Noida West has been in my mind ever since I shifted here in the year 2015. Matri-Peeth Kali Bari Greater Noida West has gradually conceptualized and came into existence in the year 2019 with few like-minded Bengali friends from different residential societies of this area, who shared the same dream.!!

Bengali community is not complete without a Kali Bari of their own, Maa Kali Temple is synonymous to Bengali existence. We, being Hindu wish for a temple where we can easily go and do the worship of Goddess Kali, the Shakti. Matri-Peeth Maa Kali temple will be a center to celebrate various religious and cultural activities like Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Lokkhi Pujo, Poila Boishakh, Rabindranath’s Birthday, Netaji Subhash’s Birthday, Swami Vivekanand Birthday and many other festivals and celebrations. Matri-Peeth Kali Bari will be a place to help enrich our Bengali-Hindu culture, and tradition and thereby through sharing, bring unity within the community of this area. The Probasi Bengalis always try hard to live their culture and nurture it. It will be our endeavour to preserve it and teach the next generation so that they can carry it over to the further generations…and thus, keep our cultural heritage alive. A rich collection of books, Bengali literature in a library, rooms and hostel facilities for Bengali tourists and students to stay, a medical dispensary in the campus…are few facilities that are lined up in our agenda along with the temple. 

Besides, Matri-Peeth is now a CSR registered entity and has been working in different fields of philanthropic activities like:

1. Matri-Peeth Blood Donation Camps.

2. Matri-Peeth Book Bank.

3. Matri-Peeth Girl Child Marriage Program.

4. Matri-Peeth Under-Privileged Education Program.

5. Matri-Peeth Scholarship Program.

6. Matri-Peeth Under-Privileged Mother-Girl-Child Health & Hygiene Program:(MPUMGCHP).

Recently, our successful Blood Donation Camp has attracted the attention of different print and electronic media channels. It was a record blood donation event with 51 donors out of that 18 were female which was highly appreciated by the associated hospital-PGICH-Sector-30, Noida. 

Our “Let us learn Bangla- এসো বাংলা শিখি” towards the upliftment of Bangla language in this north India region has been a great success where Bengalies and non-bengalies people are learning Bangla language under this program. 

Further, Matri-Peeth is now a registered entity with Income Tax u/s 80-G, all donations/contributions paid will be eligible for income tax exemption in the hands of the donors.

In this mission, Matri-Peeth celebrated its maiden Durga Puja & Kali Puja-2021 with great success, people from far from Delhi-NCR visited the pandal and appreciated the sole Bangla theme of the Puja. 

Now, Matri-Peeth is all set to celebrate its 2nd consecutive Durga Puja & Kali Puja-2022 with all its enthusiasm and is committed to achieve success. 

Here in Matri-Peeth, we may not have the Kashphool or Megh, or the breathtaking Protima or Pandal of Baghbazar-Kolkata but we are making every effort to compensate for the lack of traditional infrastructure with enthusiasm and lots of preparation. From Kolabou to Boron, Anjali to Dhunuchi Naach, Shondhi Pujo to Bishorjon, the Pujo organizers are planning meticulously to ensure that Maa Durga & her children find utmost comfort during their visit to the earthly abode in our part of the world.
